Gracehills Events and Rentals is a boutique design company founded in 2015, born from a passion to meet our clients' needs and to serve as a creative channel for their vision.
We provide top event and floral design services across Calgary, Alberta and area — helping brides and clients of every kind bring their dream event to life. Weddings, birthdays, private and corporate events, and every celebration in between.
We're one of the few event design and decoration companies in Calgary combining Event Design, Floral Design, Balloon Design, and Rental Services entirely in-house — allowing us to fully customize every client's vision into beautiful, one-of-a-kind decor. Lola had always been passionate about florals and decorating as a child, and was naturally talented at putting flowers together. After seeing many generic and similar looking events and floral designs, She decided to further pursue her talent and also offer her services to the public, besides the free friends and volunteer setup she had been doing.
Gracehills Events and Rentals started as a part time business in 2015; after Lola Olawoyin, Owner of Gracehills helped several friends, families and at church events on a volunteer basis. Eventually, Lola started Gracehills out of passion and interest. Lola had always been passionate about florals and decorating as a child, and was naturally talented at putting flowers together. After seeing many generic and similar looking events and floral designs, She decided to further pursue her talent and also offer her services to the public, besides the free friends and volunteer setup she had been doing
Besides her entrepreneur Spirit, Lola was also blessed with creative skills. Her Mom owned a Fashion school growing up, whenever Lola was not in school or playing, she was in her Mom’s Fashion school, reading or watching her Mom, her students and other worker do their Fashion designing work. Naturally, Lola started experimenting sewing on the machines and sometimes hand sewing and designing with pieces under the cutting table.
With her Creative and Entrepreneurial Spirit hand in hand, Lola’s first real business venture was a Milliner, she designed and made Fashion sinamay hats, supplied them to stores that would sell them for her and receive a commission. She also had her interest in Cake designing, as she baked beautiful and delicious cakes. Lola went on to Venture into some thing else. Making Floral hangers for Horticulturist and Home Garden use.
In 2015. Lola started pursing her natural skill at Floral designing. She had been designing Florals for her church and had been the head of the decorating unit team for 4 years. Florals had been her happy place in her Dad’s garden growing up. She never thought it was a viable business. It was after doing it for family and friends and the arrangements were always so beautiful that Lola identified this as a Unique gift and ability not everyone was able to do. She ventured into Floral designs and Centerpiece rentals and Eventually started an Event and Floral Design company called Gracehills.
Lola is excited to have finally found what her life Purpose is; Creating Beautiful and Memorable Events that last a life time. She is passionate about sharing her story and gift with the world.
